"...Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these…You did it to Me."
 Mathew 25:40 NKJV

We want you to know during these times of isolation & uncertainty, perhaps you’re facing things with your family, your business or a job, and even your health, that we have been praying for you daily. You are not forgotten by us and especially not by God.
We want you to know we are here for you in any way we can be. Please feel free to call, text or email us with your prayer requests or needs. If we can’t help, we may know someone who can. We know that prayer is ultimately the most important thing we can offer you and your families because we know God is so much greater than what we can offer. The Bible lets us know that He is always with us, He never leaves us and He knows our needs and is a God who answers prayer. So let’s remember we’re in this together and we serve a God who will help us through this season.

We are being stretched to learn some technical things like putting our children’s church classes on our church Facebook page for the kids to be able to watch while they are homebound. We also had to learn Zoom because that is the way our homeschool sign language classes are now being taught. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to learn how to do this; pray we learn to do it well and can still get the Gospel message out through online technology. We are grateful to God that we do live in a technical society where we can still have church and broadcast the Gospel message across the airwaves.

Thank you for your faithful support and giving that helps us through this season. All concerts have been canceled and we are unable to start any new sign language classes. You are a blessing in our lives.

This is the month to be THANKFUL and we are very thankful to God for you. We live in a day and age where people don’t care about being faithful, consistent or loyal, that is why your years of support and encouragement to us has been cherished and valued by Rock the Silence! We pray for each of you by name every day. We truly thank God upon our every remembrance of you!

We are rejoicing this Christmas season that we were asked back to the Melbourne Square Mall to be a part of their annual Holiday Showcase. Many malls don’t allow any Christian representation of the holiday displayed. Our first concert at the mall was December 1999. This year’s concert is on Friday, December 20th and that is our 20th year of ministering Christmas concerts! Come join us if you can or be in prayer for this year’s Signs of Christmas concerts. We covet your prayers as we minister the real reason for the season!

In the New Year we will be celebrating our 20th year of ministry. It has been a journey of teaching sign language classes to the community and to homeschool students, ministering in concerts in prisons, senior rehabs, churches of all denominations and events, touring up the East coast to Maine and going across to Ohio and being flown to California, outreaches to the homeless and ministering on the streets, leading deaf Bible studies and so much. We have met so many wonderful people over the years. We have sat and been mentored by pastors and evangelists, been a part of church plants (small churches just starting out). All that God has called us to do we do with the help of you responding to His call in supporting us with your monthly support, prayers and encouragement.

We continue to meet every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM in the mall food court near Starbucks to Rap ‘bout Dat! This has been a great time to ask questions of all types on the Bible. Searching the Word of God for the answers has helped everyone grow spiritually as well. This is also open to anyone walking by at the time. We’ve had several people stop and chat with us a bit and then go about their shopping. We are getting known being there. We believe in consistency!

We are thankful for all the prayers that went out for all of us that were facing Hurricane Dorian. We were blessed here on the east coast of Florida. Our prayers continue for the Bahama’s and those still facing this strong hurricane!

We pray for children and grandchildren across this land. Things we can’t even totally imagine are being introduced to children so young in this generation. We pray for godly teachers and authorities to rise up. We pray protection in every way for these precious little ones!

We are in the midst of another 15 week session sign language semester with the home school students. This will take us right through to a few weeks before Christmas. We are excited for this opportunity with another great group of great students!

We continue with our second level sign language class with a few adults from the community. We have enjoyed this small class. It has 2 couples and each couple spends time together at home practicing the lessons. We met for one of the classes with them at the Melbourne Square Mall on Thursday, August 22nd for the monthly Deaf Social that gathers. Deaf adults and children, college sign language students and interpreters for the deaf were there. This was a great hands-on experience!

We are in the process of making our own Rock the Silence sign language book that corresponds with our Basic Beginners Sign Language DVD. This is a 20 year overdo project. The timing was all Gods and we knew it was the right time to put this together. We met a very ambitious young lady who is earning community hours for her scholarship for college who takes beautiful pictures. She earned hours taking photos of us and adding arrows to them to show the direction of the hand movement! She did a great job! Now we are putting the descriptions under each sign. This is all new territory for us and doing it low budget ourselves so it is taking us longer, as we are not computer savvy.

We continue to meet at the Melbourne Square Mall for Rap ‘bout Dat. Great questions have been asked and discussed along with searching what Gods Word says on the topic. This is open to anyone, even strangers passing by in the mall that read our sign or see us there every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm consistently. We even had a Deaf sister and brother show up one Wednesday from Vero Beach. It’s a blessing to still be able to do this in these changing times and we always intend on taking advantage of the public opportunities!
Hello, Friends!

Happy New Year! We pray that you ended 2018 with grateful hearts for all God has pulled you through and blessed you with! Also, it’s our prayer that we all start 2019 with hearts of faith and anticipation of what God is about to do in all of our lives and ministry.

As Rock the Silence enters our 19th year of ministry and God opens new doors in 2019, we will be limiting our concerts to three (3) major themed worship events: Easter, Patriotic, and Christmas concerts. This will mean that, if you plan on booking Rock the Silence for your church or organization, you will need to plan ahead and get us on your calendar and you on our calendar! We are sending this as a reminder to those who have booked us in the past and as information for people who are just becoming acquainted with our ministry and may be interested in booking us in the future.

The three concert time frames will be as follows:

• EASTER concerts may be scheduled during the two weeks prior to Easter Sunday or the one week following. (Sunday, April 7 to Sunday, April 28)

• 4th OF JULY concerts may be scheduled during the last week of June or first week of July. (Sunday, June 23 to Sunday, July 7)

• ‘SIGNS’ OF CHRISTMAS concerts may be scheduled during the first two weeks of December. (Sunday, December 1 to Sunday, December 15.

All worship concerts are one (1) hour long with a ½ hour set-up time prior and ½ hour breakdown time afterwards. Rock the Silence comes on a love offering basis (the passing of a plate or basket to the attendees to give as they feel led), or the group hosting Rock the Silence can give a set donation amount. This is all discussed in the details listed on the confirmation paperwork.

To confirm a booking for a concert, the person in charge of the event needs to contact our office at 321-446-1802 and give the date, time and details of the event. We will present the information to our board and confirm availability. Once confirmed, we will contact you with a written confirmation of the details discussed for the event or with an alternative. This makes sure we are all on the same page and prevents any misunderstandings at the time of the event.

We will continue to offer Basic Sign Language classes to the community and individuals throughout the year. These are six (6) week classes that run for one (1) hour each week. The cost is $60.00 per person and payment is due at the first class registration. These classes are packed with lots of Deaf and Hard of Hearing information, vocabulary and one (1) praise song each week. This is a great way for individuals to see if sign language is for them before they invest in college and more expensive classes. There are scholarships available for individuals who have a financial need and a love for the language.

Please contact our office if you have any questions, to book a concert, to check for class dates or for prayer: call at - 321-446-1802 or email us -

Special Offer

This (3) three DVD packet includes (6) six basic sign language classes. Instructed by Donna and Lisa you will enjoy this learning experience in the comforts of your own home.

God bless you all!

The Rock the Silence Team

We are so blessed to have you in our lives and share the journey God has us on with all of you! Your faithfulness to support Rock the Silence has allowed us to do what God called us to do and go where God has called us to go! You are a part of every life touched by sign language and music in our concerts and in our sign language classes, as well as all those lives touched on the roadsides that were blessed with items on cold days & nights. You may be amazed in Heaven when you get extra jewels in your crown for lives touched here on earth! Thank you seems like two small words to express our love and appreciation for you!

We have just a few weeks left for our 2 sign language classes with the Homeschool junior/senior high children that will be ending for the summer. The students will be signing their song in our Anchor Care concert on Wednesday, April 25th. This is an exciting time for the students to share what they’ve learned and minister to the residents with us. They have invited us to their end of year program and they will be signing their song in the program as well. This has been a great semester! They have already invited us back to teach in their fall semester! This is an exciting season working with these students.

We are meeting two Thursdays a month with the Deaf adults for a Bible study. This is a great time for them to ask any questions they have from church sermons to anything they don’t understand that they have read in the Bible. You are a part of us ministering the Gospel to this local mission field in our community. It is a small group now, but as the Lord provides a location for us to meet at, we believe more Deaf will join us! Please be in prayer that we can find a location near the highway to offer our sign language classes and Bible studies to the community on an ongoing basis in Melbourne, Florida. This has been our hearts desire for years and we pray that this is the year the Lord will show us where and make a way of provision for this to happen. Perhaps out of that Rock the Town Café will be birthed as well. We have our 501c3 non-profit status and logo for the café; we are just praying for the provision, building and knowledge needed to press forward. With the help of your prayers we believe God is moving and will answer us!

We continue to minister at Anchor Care Rehab the fourth Wednesday of every month. It has been a blessing to share so many old hymns and new Christian songs with them over the years. We are not good singers, but we enjoy taking time during the concert where the residents sing songs and share their favorites with us. We have seen hearts come to know the Lord over the years and know where their eternity will be! God’s Peace has overshadowed so many of them and it’s been an honor to be a part of their spiritual journeys.

We are blessed to have you as part of our Rock the Silence family! As we close out our 17th year of ministry words can’t express how much we appreciate your faithful support over the years. God has opened so many different doors for us over the past years of ministering in prisons, to the homeless & those in need, in nursing homes and assistant living facilities, teaching sign language classes to adults and to homeschooled students, as well as our concerts in churches of all denominations. Your support is the gift from God that allows us to go wherever He leads us.

We have been teaching a Deaf Bible Study for the past year in Palm Bay FL.  We have seen wonderful spiritual growth! One lady wanted to be water baptized and it was a great time and experience to be a part of her next step in her public profession of Christ and her spiritual journey!  Matthew 28:19

We were asked to join the Chaplain at Anchor Care for their monthly Celebration of Life the last Friday in June. This is a special time when they invite family members whose loved ones have passed away. The Chaplain shares a message and something memorable about each person and we ministered with a few songs.

We continue to hold Bible studies with the Deaf on Thursday nights. We meet in a deaf couple’s home and share the Word of God in their language. We have seen great spiritual growth and understanding developing in them. We also allow time for prayer requests and praise reports. They are getting to see that God answers their prayers! The majority of those that come have attended church for years and a few are newly saved and just learning. Afterwards we fellowship with them and avail ourselves to answer any questions they may have about the hearing world we live in. This is our local mission field here in the Palm Bay/Melbourne area of Florida.

We were able to participate in Vacation Bible School with our home church Gospel Life and Peace Lutheran. We taught the children eight songs in sign language and movements. They were able to do all the songs for their families in the Friday night program. Sunday, July 2nd we had our annual Patriotic Concert at Gospel Life and the children who attended VBS were able to share one of the songs they learned and some scriptures they learned in sign language too. It was a great time!

We are actively involved with the Celebrate Recovery meetings held at our local church. They offer open groups on Friday and a step study on Tuesday nights. These meetings are for anyone with hurts, habits and hang-ups. Lisa was given the opportunity to facilitate the women’s group while the leader was on vacation for the month of May. We believe that this is also preparing us for when the Lord opens the doors of Rock the Town Café to better minister to those in the community. Lisa will also be going to a Celebrate Recovery training Summit in July with the leaders involved from our church. This is another way God is using us to touch lives in the community and better minister His Love and the Gospel.

We pray that you had a blessed Easter! Remembering God’s Love sent to us through His Son Jesus Christ! We rejoice in knowing that we serve a risen Savior and because He Lives we want to share the gospel message of this wonderful Love!

Rock the Silence had a great time ministering in concert at Heart of the Father for Brevard County in Merritt Island on Good Friday morning. They had a time of prayer, communion, our concert and a luncheon followed. It was a nice start to the Easter Weekend!

Rock the Silence offered to the community on Saturday’s four of their Basic Sign Language classes. They were held on April 8, 15, 22 & 29 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Gospel Life Church, 4500 Dixie Highway, Palm Bay, FL. These classes will be for a donation of any amount. All ages welcomed. We asked that children be able to sit in class for an hour and accompanied by an adult. There have been 18 people in attendance at the classes.

Afterwards we fellowship with them and avail ourselves to answer any questions they may have about the hearing world we live in. This is our local mission field here in the Palm Bay/Melbourne area of Florida.

We continue to minister in the assistant living homes and at Anchor Care Rehab facility monthly. We also assist the chaplain at Anchor care with music for their celebration of life services held quarterly for the families that lost loved ones there.

Happy New Year! We pray God’s richest blessings on 2017 for you and your loved ones. May this year be healthy and joyous for you! We look forward to another year of partnering with you and together being God’s hands and feet to those around us!

The last few months of 2016 were a wonderful way to end a year! We were able to offer the Love of God along with a complete Thanksgiving dinner and dessert to 75 people that joined us on Thanksgiving Day. We were also able to send 45 complete dinners in to-go boxes to those on the streets in the Melbourne FL area. Because you have partnered with us and in obedience to Gods Word about giving, we know God will bless you and take care of your needs as well. He is Faithful to His Word! We know everyone that received a meal was grateful to God and you! We had a full month in December with our “Signs” of Christmas concerts. We had our annual concerts at local churches and many assistant livings and were able to return to the Melbourne Square Mall for our last concert of the season. It has been wonderful to have our Pastor and Gospel Life Church family joining and supporting us during Thanksgiving and Christmas events. We attended a Deaf Christmas party with many of the deaf we have Bible study with twice a month and met many new deaf people as well.

We will continue to hold Bible studies with the Deaf, minister in concerts and hold sign language classes for young and old in 2017.

In His Service,
The Rock the Silence Team

If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

It is God’s heart and our hearts as well to reach all people with the message of Jesus Christ so that none may perish. (The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9) We have shared that at this present time we minister in a lot of assistant livings weekly and monthly concerts. The Word of God is clear that we have a responsibility to the widow and orphan. We are spiritually nurturing and feeding these precious men and women in these facilities. We have grown to love them and we see the Spirit of God come alive inside them!

We also attend a Deaf Bible study twice a month. It is so important that they understand the Bible in their language. Many people think that sign language is the same as English, just said on our hands. However, that is not true. It is like a room filled with only Spanish speaking people and the pastor only preaches in English. It’s not their language so they do not understand the message. That is why if a church has a Deaf Ministry, it is important to have a skilled interpreter, but also Deaf Bible study groups are important to have discussion time and make sure each deaf person is learning and growing spiritually. It is wonderful to see them learning and hear Praise Reports of answered prayers.

For the past three months we have launched a small prayer group to pray and we meet once a month. We pray for our nation, government, military and each state in these changing times. Prayer is important, praying together is powerful, and America is in great need of prayer. We believe this group will grow and increase in size as we begin to share it with others. Please pray for us to find the right location to hold the prayer time as we grow.

We are so blessed to have you as a faithful supporter as we minister to those who are elderly in assistant livings, those in rehabs after surgery, those on the streets in need of hats, water, socks, gloves and hygiene items, and to those who are deaf as well as the hearing who come to concerts and are ministered to by songs and the testimonies that we share. You are a gift from God that allows us to bring so much to those in need of a touch from Him. Your sacrificial gift will help us press forward in 2016 with the many things God has planned for us to do.

We are still having some colder nights here in Florida and we continue to hand out the filled hats to those on the streets. We always pray for God to direct us to the right people in need as we drive around. One day we placed two pairs of ladies shoes in the car (size 9 and 8 ½ shoes); as we drove around we saw two women, one had thin little dollar flip-flops on and it was cold out. We rolled down the window and asked if they would like a hat filled with items. They walked over to the car. We realized it was a mother with her teenage daughter. We gave them two filled hats for women and offered the shoes. Guess what sizes they were? Yep, the daughter was an 8 ½ and the mother was size 9. Amazing how God lead us right to them and the sizes were exact! In the filled hats were brand new socks for them to put on with their shoes. This is just one of many stories that we experience as we drive around.

Happy New Year!

Every month we enter into assistant living homes and facilities to minister, and in some cases a generation of people who are forgotten. We love that we have an opportunity to share music and the Joy of the Lord with these precious people; some even call us “church.” Think about the fact that most of them are not taken to church and are placed in front of a television with some show on, and not much has anything to do with God; so this is a wonderful opportunity to minister to them. We have experienced a few that have passed away and we were able to comfort the other residents. Also, we had the assurance that they were saved and are now in Heaven! Praise God! Thank you for being a part of every place we go; your support helps us help others. It’s your prayers and support that help us minister to people of all ages and in all different situations in life.

On our colder days here in Florida so we have handed out over 80 of the beautiful hats that were made. They are filled with the items collected to those who are in need on the streets. We went under the bridge by the river and were able to provide these items and tarps to help those who are sleeping on the concrete and feeling the cold winds from the water. One man had his leg in a boot from falling and we had the opportunity to pray with him. We appreciate the donations that have come in to help us bless those who are less fortunate and bring them ‘gifts from God!’ Thank you for your prayers and support with this outreach.

Again, it is our prayer that you have a blessed New Year ahead of you! We pray health and prosperity for you and your family members. We thank God for you!

We have added on 4 new assistant living homes every Thursday, plus we still minister Anchor Care and SALUS house once a month on the 4th Thursday of the month. These people are such a joy to minister to. We have them singing songs, some get up and dance a little. Seeing those who have had strokes try to clap and sing, is amazing. Their spirits are very alive and the Word of God and message in song stirs that spirit up! We also enjoy seeing the staff sing along, clap and participate in the prayers. We know God has our ministry there to share His Love and Joy! We are booked for a concert at another assistant living facility in Melbourne FL for Tuesday, August 4th. God has us in a season of ministering to elderly in assistant livings and we will go and do what He calls us to do! We even received a phone call from a facility in North Carolina, that had us in the past minister while we were on tour there, wanting to book us for a concert this Summer. We are praying about a tour again, but the Lord hasn’t opened other doors yet. Please keep these concerts in your prayers.

We continue to be involved in the Deaf Bible Study. We enjoy seeing the Deaf grow spiritually and learn God’s Word. It’s a safe place for them to ask questions and learn. We are growing to know them more and love fellowshipping with them. They were a wonderful part of our Patriotic concert and they are anxious to learn a Christmas song!

We want to thank you for your part! You are a part of our prayers and we covet the prayers you pray for us. We are committed to continue to touch lives and expand the Kingdom of God until His return!

When Rock the Silence began in 2000 we were involved with the Deaf community for the first few years of ministry. Over time more hearing people became aware of our ministry and our audience became predominantly hearing with an occasional visit from the Deaf. Now into our fifteenth year we have a nice balance of Deaf and Hearing. We have been attending a Deaf Bible study and out of that we are excited that the Deaf have learned a song in sign language for our Patriotic concert. They performed their song for the first time with their hearing Bible study leader in our May concert at Anchor Care. The residents enjoyed the song and their response made the Deaf so happy!

We look forward to our annual Patriotic Concert held each year at Peace Lutheran Church in Palm Bay, FL. This year’s concert will be held on Sunday, June 28th at 4:00 PM. The Deaf will be involved in the concert as they greet each person attending and they'll also be signing a song. Patricia Moody will be signing and singing, Bob Ottalagano will be playing the piano & Rev. Johnnie Ingersoll who fought in two wars will be carrying the American flag. Mark your calendar and come join us as we celebrate God and country. This year we will be providing (free) hot dogs, chips and apple pie after the concert in the fellowship hall.

We want to thank you for your part! You are a part of our prayers and we covet the prayers you pray for us. We are committed to continue to touch lives and expand the Kingdom of God until His return!

Hello Everyone,
Did you know that you are fasting with us and should expect the results of fasting in your life? There is a fast in Isaiah 58:6-14 that doesn't speak about 'not eating.' (We encourage you to read the full chapter of Isaiah 58.) Instead it tells us in verse 6 to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free and to break every yoke.
Rock the Silence ministers in concert and shares the Gospel message of Jesus' life, death, resurrection and His return; that is what verse 6 is telling us to do. In verse 7 it continues to tell us to feed the hungry, house the homeless and clothe them. That is what we have been doing on the streets and in the woods of Palm Bay and Melbourne and have extended farther in our reaching people as we partnered with Within Reach Ministries.
We also support a Deaf orphanage in Jamaica and a Hearing orphanage in Guatemala. You are going with us and helping us reach more and more people with every dollar you sow into Rock the Silence. You are a part of the Isaiah fast with us.There is so much more in that chapter and you need to read the blessings of God that you get to look forward to as you obey His Word with us.

We look forward to our annual Patriotic concert held each year at Peace Lutheran Church in Palm Bay, FL. This years concert will be held on Sunday, June 28th at 4:00 PM. This year we will be providing (free) hot dogs, French fries and apple pie after the concert in the fellowship hall.

Thank you for your support and being a part of what God is doing in our community and in other countries. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Sunday, June 28th and help us celebrate the 4th of July!

Many of you who have been with us over the years may remember our annual outreach to the homeless and those in need. We rented the park off US-1 in Melbourne, FL on the first Saturday of November for 12 years. There were always over 100 people who came on foot, bikes and some families who lived in their cars came to get a hot sit-down meal, clothes, hygiene items, blankets, tents, haircuts and ministered too. Although we don’t do an annual outreach anymore, we do still take items to people on the streets throughout the year. Homemade hats, scarves, gloves, blankets, hand-warmers, food, drinks and hygiene items fill the back of our vehicle and we drive around areas where we know the homeless and less fortunate people are walking or sitting by a building trying to find shelter from the wind. Many of you have been a blessing by donating items for us to hand out. We all work together to do the Will of God.

You may not know that we also partner with Within Reach Ministries. Founder Jeff Gwinn and his family have been a big part of our homeless outreaches in the past. Although there are many blessings that Within Reach does to help those in need throughout Brevard County and beyond, they also have a heart for the homeless. Jeff ministers to them weekly by sharing the free gift of salvation and also by providing for their physical needs.

The other day we were going through things in our office and we had one tent to give away. We contacted Jeff and told him we had some coats and sweaters to give him, but to be thinking who he was suppose to give a tent to. Jeff laughs and tells us this: “I received a call from someone at 11:00 this morning saying that he was in desperate need of a tent.” Jeff was at work and told him to call back at 4:00 PM to see what God does. We contacted Jeff at 2:00 PM that afternoon about the tent. While he was picking the tent up from us at 4:00 PM, the man called him back. Jeff delivered the tent to him by 4:20 PM before dark.

God is good! God knows the needs of His children even if they live in the woods. We had no idea that Jeff got that call that morning, but God did. These stories become the norm when we listen to the voice of God within us and respond! Thank you for your part of being used by God to minister the Gospel to the World!

Dear Friends,

We are praying God’s blessing on you and your loved ones as 2014 comes to an end, and the New Year is about to begin. We pray for you throughout the year, but want you to know that we thank God for you. Your love, support and encouragement are a blessing to us!

As we look back on 2014, with your support we were able to touch lives through Sign Language and Music monthly at Anchor Care of Palm Bay, FL and SALUS House Satellite Beach FL. We have ministered in several local churches Senior Luncheons and even traveled a few hours north of us to other Senior Rehabs. We taught free sign language classes to the seniors at the Shepherd Center in Palm Bay, FL again this year.

Rock the Silence sponsored six fundraisers for Rock the Town Café. The Rock the Silence team will be taking the month of January to fast and pray for God’s direction for 2015 for both ministries.
Because of the kindness of the Moody family we were able to attend the annual Vero Beach Prayer Breakfast again this year. This is always an awesome time to gather with thousands of people to pray for our Country.

In our home church, Discover Life Church in Melbourne, FL, we have a Deaf Ministry with a great interpreter. Throughout the year when she was unable to be at the church service, Donna has filled in interpreting the sermon and announcements for the deaf and Lisa interpreted the songs.
Peace Lutheran Church held our annual Fourth of July Concert and Signs of Christmas concerts. They have been faithful to book these concerts for the past 13 years. Also, Peace Lutheran Church sponsored us for our annual Signs of Christmas concert at Melbourne Square Mall in Melbourne, FL again this year.

We participated for the second year in the Good News Jail and Prison Ministries ‘Night of Praise’ fundraiser. This raises money for the Chaplains in our local jail, who have to raise their own funds for their ministry in the jail. Also, we ministered in concert at the Special Spotlight Theatre fundraiser for the special needs people. We were a part of Patricia Moody’s LIVE III concert in Vero Beach, FL for the third time. This raises money for her Down Syndrome awareness charities.

We have been attending a Deaf Bible Study, led by one of our former students, Bill, who has excelled and is being used by God to instruct this Bible study. It is wonderful to be a part of what God is doing in other people’s lives.

We look forward to being used by God even more in 2015. We appreciate your prayers and support to continue touching lives and bringing Gods love to all that we can!

God bless you!

The Rock the Silence Team

Brief Update
We have completed six fundraisers for Rock the Town Café. Like David bringing the Ark of the Covenant back the second time the right way, he took six paces and stopped to worship the Lord. That is what the Rock the Silence team will be doing too. We did six fundraisers and it’s time to stop, worship and seek the Lord. We have 8 ‘Signs’ of Christmas concerts quickly approaching, so we will wait and take the month of January to fast and pray for direction for 2015. If you would like to join us throughout the month of January, please take time to pray for both Rock the Silence and Rock the Town Café. We appreciate your prayers and support.

Hello Everyone,

We are still working on the things that we are able to do to establish the Café, but we are also in a waiting period. We are waiting on IRS for our 501c3 non-profit papers to be returned and a few other things. We had four men scheduled to inspect the A/C, roof, electrical and other areas of the building, but the owner wouldn't confirm a date as to when he'd be available to open the doors for us. We finally picked a date and then discovered that the owner was going to be out of town. We asked him to give us a date in November, so we could try to get these four men out, but he said that he couldn't plan that far ahead.

As you can see, we are facing a wall of persecution and resistance with this owner. We are asking for you to continue to pray for us and the building for the Café. We want God's perfect will and timing. We need your prayers also because we are very much out of our comfort zones and area of knowledge.

In the meantime, we are beginning to do fundraisers for the Café. Our first one will be at Texas Roadhouse on Malabar Rd in Palm Bay on Sunday, November 17th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We will have 250 flyers to hand out in person or at the door that day. If you take the flyer and eat there on the 17th, while we are there, all you'll need to do is attach your receipt to the flyer (they'll supply you with an extra receipt for this purpose) and then place it in the box on your way out. At the end of the day, they'll add up all the receipts and give Rock The Silence (representing the café) 10% of the sales!

Your support and patience has been a blessing to us.

In His Service,
 Donna, Lisa & Fran

Hello Everyone,

Café Update
Good news! We finally got the paperwork off to IRS and paid them for our 501c3 non-profit status for Rock the Town Café! The wait for the paperwork to come back can take 3-6 months, but we know that is in the Lords hands.
We also called the owner that we met with a few weeks back, concerning the building on W. New Haven Ave. We were checking to see if he was now able to show us the inside of the building. (Remember he didn’t have the key back from the last tenants and couldn’t show us the inside). He said that he will get a locksmith and call us in a week or so, if not we will call him back so we can see the interior.

Outreach Update
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to all who prayed, gave items and financially supported our outreach this past Saturday. What an amazing experience. It’s sad to see the children who are going to school from a tent. One tent had three generations living in it, two grandmothers to a 3 week old baby that weighed 9 lbs. Imagine going from the hospital to a tent with your newborn. We did have the opportunity to share the Lord with everyone who came. Two adults (Jeff and Jackie) gave their heart to the Lord! Praise God! That is what it is all about. That is our real mission! We need to continue to pray for these families and those that heard the message, who still need to respond to Jesus’ free gift of Salvation! Everything we hand out is a blessing to them and allows us an open door to speak into their lives. They walked away with backpacks and grocery bags full of the items donated. We will be returning with a few new items we purchased for the kids to wear to school and baby items that they were in need of.

Street Ministry Update
Many of you may not realize that besides the bigger outreaches that we do, we also go out on summer days and hand out drinks and snacks and in the winter we hand out hand warmers, hats, gloves, socks and more items to those on the streets. With your help we are sharing God’s Love one person at a time!

Attached are some pictures of our Outreach and Street Ministry.

We love and appreciate you all!

Hello Everyone,

We are pressing forward in what needs to be done to establish the Christian Coffee House. We had a few delays with paperwork at the Accountants Office, but we are faxing, e-mailing and talking by phone to keep it going on a daily basis.

We found a location on W. New Haven Ave. , Melbourne , FL. We know God led us to this location and the mission field around this building includes (but not limited to) six hotels, a gay bar, Bare Assets, and it’s close to I-95. We called the Real-Estate office, which is also the owner of a building in the area we want, and made an appointment to speak with him. He could not show us the inside yet, because the last tenants still are in possession of the key. We did meet for a brief meeting to hear his prices and he wanted us to share our plans for the building. We were honest and told him that it will be a Christian Coffee House and that we did not have money in hand yet, but would present his figures to our Board and our supporters and get back to him.

Before the meeting we prayed that God would confirm if we should lease or purchase the building. At the beginning of the meeting he told us that the lease would be $5,000 a month and the sale price is $1,200.000.00. (Though this is a prime location, we believe he was thrown-off by ‘Christian’ coffee house and raised the price, but we were not shaken!) We are believing that he will lower his price to $500,000.00 or God has a better building in that area. There are two reasons that God confirmed we should not lease the building. One, the owner offers a ‘triple net’ lease, which means that we’d be responsible for $5,000.00 monthly rent, insurance, property taxes and repairs, (why lease if you have all the responsibility of owning). Second, after he heard the coffee house plans, he said that it’s a purchase only, not for lease. That confirmed that! We are not discouraged, but know when God reveals His greatness to this man it will be life changing for him. He won’t give us a bottom line price until we have cash in hand to make an offer. (We believe it will be cash and debt free!) He did agree that location would be ideal for our plans, but he is not ready to budge on price (yet).

We know this man needs Jesus, and we are praying for his Salvation. We also know his heart was pricked by our love for God and touching the community. This was the first step of God moving on this man’s heart. Please keep him in your prayers.

We need to hear your feedback, thoughts, prayers and of course, donations will be a big part of this vision becoming a reality. You are all a part of this vision. Some will be able to donate large amounts, some smaller amounts, others will be purchasing coffee, tea, hot chocolate, condiments, cups, baking goods, and some will volunteer time and pour coffee, or sweep the floor… Everyone will have a part! We are all volunteers! The only overhead expenses will be insurance, utilities and taxes… There are no employees and administrative costs eating up your donations. Please pray and seek God.

We will continue to keep you posted on the progress and needs as we press forward! Thank you for all your encouraging words we have been receiving! You ALL are a blessing!

For those who are able and choose to contribute financially to the Coffee House, please make checks payable to ROCK THE SILENCE in order to receive your tax deduction. Also put the words Coffee House on the ‘memo’ line.

Hello Everyone,

We are excited about all the encouragement and support we have been receiving in response to our sharing the vision of a Christian Coffee House.

Because you caught the vision, we are able to pay for the Accountant!!! At this point we are still working to obtain a 501c3 non-profit status for the coffee house. This is a time consuming process, as we have to submit lots of information and answer lots of questions for IRS; but the wheels are rolling in the right direction. We are also in the process of obtaining the EIN#. Please keep praying us through this season, we need favor with IRS.

The Christian Law Association recommended three different liability companies to look into. We will call them to find the best price for our needs. We know this will be another monthly expense that we will trust God to supply. We want to make sure that we take all the proper steps to make sure that the facility is covered for all that enter.

We believe so many people will be utilized in this coffee house. Many of you have already been telling us that you can pour coffee, bake items, and buy cups…. Everyone can be involved, whether that be by volunteering time, supplying items or donating finances. You all will be a blessing to the community.

Thank you to those of you who have already sown a seed into the vision of a coffee house by which we believe God will be glorified. We know He will richly bless you in return for your gift.

PRAISE GOD for all He is doing to start up this new Christian Coffee House in the Melbourne FL area!!!!! We will continue to send you updates.

Thank you!

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to share our hearts and the next step God is directing RtS to take. First we want to say most of you have been with us over the past 13 years of ministry and we appreciate you growing and supporting us over the years. That is why we feel comfortable including you on the ground level of our next ministry venture.

Rock the Silence has had a vision for the past 10 years of a Christian Coffee House. We had the name, style and most of the details for all these years. We believe the vision is of God and that this is the year to begin the process.

This coffee house is going to have many ministry aspects to it. Those of you who know us, know that the main thrust of this ministry is sharing God’s Love and Salvation through His Son Jesus. That will NOT change; this will be another open door (coffee house door) for that to happen on a more personal level.

Unlike any coffee house in our area, this will be ‘Christian’ based, mom-pop 50’s style, family friendly, fun and loving environment. The Lord brought us back to the 50’s when life was simpler and more family minded.

This coffee house will also allow local Christian artists a venue to play some of their original music LIVE, and we can play their CDs in the background during regular hours. There are so many talented Christian artists that don’t have a venue in which to share their talent.

Reaching the community-one cup at a time, will be our mission! There are many families one pay check away from losing everything, regardless of what the news says about how much better things are. We can all look around and see people hurting. This coffee house will run on Faith.

All products offered will be on a ‘donation’ basis. If you can pay the suggested donation, thank you. If you can give a little above to bless someone else, we know God will bless you in return. If you can’t afford the donation, give what you can or it is FREE to you. This is not a business, but a place for people to come and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa and a baked good, and take a moment to enjoy a treat and forget about their troubles. We can pray for people, minister to people or just listen and talk in this relaxed atmosphere.

We have been sharing this vision with a few people and they are excited too. Some of you are as crazy in your faith and love for God as we are and will catch this vision of being a blessing to the community. Christians will come and enjoy themselves too.

First, we need your prayers. We believe God will receive ALL the Glory in this vision. Second, we already spoke to our Accountant about the first step, and it is to establish the coffee house as it’s own 501-c3 non-profit. This will cost $480.00. Then we need a building, the right location. Perhaps someone will donate one, or the finances toward one. Next we need to talk to a lawyer regarding liability. In addition, we will be looking for donations in many areas, i.e., financially, furniture, paint, all the way down to cups. We will need volunteers to help serve coffee and volunteers to help bake items. We always say, “there are no ‘lone-rangers’ in the body of Christ.” God uses all of us to accomplish His Will. That includes YOU!

This is just the beginning! There is so much more we can share, but you don’t want to be reading all of this at one sitting. We hope we have shared enough for you to catch the vision, to get excited, and to begin praying for us and your part in this vision.

The first $480.00 can be donated to Rock the Silence, to establish the non-profit status of the coffee house. Once that is done, all other donations for the coffee house will be donated right to the coffee house account. We will reveal the name the Lord gave us at that point!

Are you excited? Can you see it? Let’s pull together to be a blessing in the community and touch lives on a personal level for the Kingdom of God!

We love and appreciate you all!
